A short, plain-English summary of how we handle the personal information you share when you submit a brief or contact us.
We are the data controller for any personal information submitted through this site. Our registered office is in Cape Town, South Africa. For any privacy query, contact us at info@regency.org or +27 83 259 2558.
There is no contact form or sign-up on this site. The only personal information we hold is whatever you choose to put in an email to info@regency.org or press@regency.org— typically your name, organisation, role, contact details and a description of what you'd like us to produce.
We do not run analytics, advertising tags or trackers on this site, and we do not set cookies of our own.
If you watch a video on a season page, the embedded player is served by YouTube or Vimeo. We use the privacy-respecting embed modes (youtube-nocookie.com, Vimeo with Do Not Track), so no cookies are set until you press play.
We use the information you send us only to evaluate the brief, route it to the right producer, and respond to you within two business days. We do not sell it. We do not pass it to any marketing list, agency or affiliate. We do not enrich it against third-party datasets.
Our legal basis is your decision to email us, and our legitimate interest in responding to commercial enquiries.
Emails are stored on our business inbox provider for the duration of the engagement. Only the assigned producer and the partner reviewing the brief read them. We do not forward briefs outside the studio without your consent.
We keep brief correspondence for the duration of any engagement that follows. If no engagement follows, we delete the brief and our internal notes two years from the date of last contact. Briefs marked confidential at submission are held under stricter access controls and are not retained in shared archives.
Under POPIA (South Africa) and GDPR (EU/UK), you have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you; correct it; delete it; object to our processing; and complain to a regulator if you believe we have mishandled it.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@regency.org with the subject line Privacy request. We respond within 30 calendar days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the South African Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za) or your national EU data-protection authority.
The site is delivered over HTTPS. Form submissions are encrypted in transit. Inbox access is restricted to authenticated members of the studio and protected by two-factor authentication. We do not store brief content in any public or unsecured location.
No system is invulnerable. If we ever become aware of a personal-information breach affecting briefs you have submitted, we will notify you within 72 hours of confirming the breach, in line with POPIA and GDPR.
If we change a material aspect of how we handle your information — what we collect, who processes it, or how long we keep it — we will update this page and revise the Last updated date in the meta block above. For substantial changes, we will also notify you by email if we have one on file.
