Eco 4 the World television series

One earth, one future

Eco 4 the World is a series of TV programmes, produced in collaboration with UNEP, which aims to raise awareness of the importance of the United Nations Millennium Development Goals, with particular emphasis on environmental responsibility and sustainability.

UNEP stimulates dialogue between decision-makers on a broad range of issues – promoting partnerships to help strengthen institutional capacity and build the consensus needed to achieve socially responsible entrepreneurship. It acts as a principal catalyst between government and industry and networks with other United Nations organizations such as UNCTAD (United Nations Conference on Trade and Industry) UNDP (United Nations Development Programme) and UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organisation).

One of the major world challenges is to replace unsustainable development with environmentally sound and sustainable practices.

To make such a change requires a sense of common purpose and will depend largely on effectively communicating the consequences of a continuing status quo, as well as a clear and positive presentation of viable alternatives.

Eco 4 the World provides a positive setting to profile the environmental efforts of the private sector and civil society.
